About Me

Summer, 2011

Hello,  I am a Bachelor’s Plus student, pursuing licensure for Grades 7-12 Integrated Science.  For the past eight years, I have been a long-term Substitute Teacher, primarily at Reynoldsburg High School, for Math and Science classes.  You could say that I work full-time, but with some breaks between assignments.   When I’m not working a long-term assignment, I do some day-subbing, but I prefer the long-term assignments.  High school students are my favorites to teach so far.

Before then?  My degrees are in Computer Science. Initially I thought I wanted to be a Chemical Engineer (my Dad was one), so I took several Chemistry and Physics classes.   Halfway through my sophomore undergrad year, I took a programming course.  It was so much fun that I changed my major!  At that time I thought I’d never use the Chem and Physics that I’d studied so hard to learn.  Ha!  I am definitely using them now.
